Google Destop Search
I tried to download this to my home computer (running Windows 2000, no service packs). SP 3 is required for Win 2000 and I am reluctant to try that out as I have done so much customization of my home computer... so I tried it on my office machine (Win XP) and relatively new.
It installed just fine. The first thing it does is index your machine. It does this in the background, when you are idle, and will continue as long as it takes (mine was pretty quick because I just started using the computer and don't have a lot of files on it). I tried a search on it, and the results I got were very quick and very useful. (Give example.)
