Google Ads Huh?

I have been conducting two email conversations with friends recently; one is about canning (yeah, you read me right, canning, as in food preservation), and the other about an article that was sent to me about SXSW (for those of you who don't know, that's the annual Interactive and Music festival in Austin, Texas, known as South By South West, and if you're anybody in the interactive or music worlds, you'd better be there.

While it seldom happens (sorry, Google), my attention strayed to the ads Google had served me up based on parsing my conversations. Yes, it's true, my conspiracy theory friends, Google parses your conversation for keywords, and then offers you ads based on what you've been talking about (most frequently).

Because they were so amusing, I decided to share them with you here. What kind of person, I can only wonder, would generate such a strange, apparently disconnected set of ads? I leave it to you.
