More on Flash Ads

My usual start to the day - read through emails and catch up on the news. An email newsletter took me to a popular news site. 5, count 'em, 5 Flash ads, all set to run at once. Since I have disabled Flash on my browser (unless I over ride it - it gives me an option), I have noticed two things:
My browser takes a bit longer to launch, but once launched it runs much more smoothly and rapidly;
I don't have ads launching, moving, talking, etc. without my permission;
There are a TON of "grey spaces," which is what the disabled Flash areas give me - and which tells me just how many Flash-based ads there are cluttering up my website experience.
