Family Heirlooms
Surname Heirlooms was started in July of 2001 & has been a huge success!! We have reunited several people with family heirloom items such as family bibles, photographs, deeds, bonds, postcards, letters and more.
Reuniting people with their family heirlooms has been a true adventure and joy. So many people have written wonderful thing regarding the family item they have been reunited with through the website.
My 2 favorite reunions (as of this writing) have been
A photograph reunited to a lady. It wasn't just any photo, it was her baby photo that had been lost over 86 years ago!! (This was the very first picture I bought at an antique store. It had a name on the back. I started with that and within 24 hours, I found the owner!!) Imagine, it had sat in a dusty antique store for several years.
A group of love letters written in the 1700s. These letters were so beautiful ! A descendant purchased the documents and gave them to a museum for all to see..

V.92 (CCITT V.92 standard and its companion V.44 compression) allow for quicker connections. includes Modem-On-Hold (lets your suspend your modem session to take a call) faster file uploads (up to 48 Kbps), V.44 compression for faster Web page downloads. Not all ISPs support V.92 - check.
