Trip Say
Do you have itchy feet, wanderlust, globe-trotter's syndrome?
Capitalizing on the proven "collective intelligence" of the 'net, TripSay learns your preferences (based on where you've been, where you say you'd like to go, and some of your other preferences (like, do you prefer luxury or budget, English or multilingual). It will then make recommendations to you about places you would probably like to go - and gives you further insights into the place via photos and stories from friends and subscribers.
As the Trip Say people tell us: "Tell us where you have been and we'll show you where you want to go next!"
The interface is nifty dashboard affair. Values are entered via sliders or input boxes - and you create a map as you enter locations where you've been or wish to go. You can invite friends to play along with you, and you can find friends within the system itself.
You can also join groups, sharing info and tips with other like-minded folks - groups like "History," "Breath-Taking Places," and "Hiking."
The interactive map takes a little work to figure out - I haven't quite done it yet, in fact! But the concept is interesting enough that I will put in the time.
Happy trails!
